In 2007, Katie Nicole Key, a vivacious and intelligent student at West Greene High School in Greene County, Tennessee, tragically lost her life to dating violence in a devastating murder-suicide incident. In memory of Katie and to prevent such heart-wrenching events from happening to others, the Katie Key Outreach project was established in 2009.
Our mission through the Katie Key Outreach project is to raise awareness about dating and domestic violence through open forum discussions, engaging activities, and informative literature. We are dedicated to shedding light on the warning signs and behaviors that can potentially lead to dating violence. Additionally, we aim to offer emotional support and facilitate access to counseling services for individuals who may be affected by these issues.
