Welcome, we are a social service organization providing housing assistance to victims
"one person at a time."
A Safe Harbor Home, Inc. is dedicated to aiding survivors of domestic violence and homelessness in their journey toward recovery and self-sufficiency. Our focus is on providing a secure and appropriate environment integral to their healing. We serve the Northeast region of Tennessee, covering Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington counties. Committed to facilitating stable housing, we extend financial aid, housing support, referrals to counseling, vocational training, and life skills development for independent living. Our services are customized to address individual needs, with a minimum program duration of six months.
In 2007, Katie Nicole Key, a vivacious and intelligent student at West Greene High School in Greene County, Tennessee, tragically lost her life to dating violence in a devastating murder-suicide incident. In memory of Katie and to prevent such heart-wrenching events from happening to others, the Katie Key Outreach project was established in 2009.
The Katie Key Outreach project aims to heighten awareness about dating and domestic violence through open forums, activities, and literature. Tailored courses are available for Students, Parents, Families, First Responders, and Facilitators. Our focus is on highlighting warning signs and behaviors leading to dating and domestic violence while providing emotional support and access to counseling services for those affected.
Our organization is dedicated to providing hope and support to those who need it the most. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to live a fulfilling life, and that through our efforts, we can make a real difference in the our communites. Join us in our mission to change lives and make a lasting impact.
