WHAT WE DO

Serving Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington County.

Housing Assistance

A Safe Harbor Home, Inc. is committed to providing survivors of domestic violence and homelessness with a "hand up" as they journey towards recovery and self-sufficiency. While we offer a secure and nurturing environment essential to their healing process, it's important to clarify that we are not an emergency shelter. We proudly serve the Northeast region of Tennessee, encompassing Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington counties.

Our dedication involves

* facilitating rapid re-housing

*delivering comprehensive case management

 *offering referrals to counseling services, vocational training, and life skills development for independent living.

Each service we provide is tailored to meet the unique needs of every individual. Our program typically spans a minimum of six months, offering sustained support and assistance to empower survivors towards a brighter future.

"Katie Key Outreach: Empowering Communities Against Dating and Domestic Violence"

In 2007, Katie Nicole Key, a vivacious and intelligent student at West Greene High School in Greene County, Tennessee, tragically lost her life to dating violence in a devastating murder-suicide incident. In memory of Katie and to prevent such heart-wrenching events from happening to others, the Katie Key Outreach project was established in 2009.

The Katie Key Outreach project aims to heighten awareness about dating and domestic violence through education and prevention. Tailored courses are available for Students, Parents, Families, First Responders, and People Helpers.
